Ski Season Ends; Golf Season Begins
Brian Schott: April 18, 2012
We closed out a great winter of skiing on April
8...and no sooner do we store our winter gear, it's time to dust off the golf clubs. As of April 13, 2012, golf season is in full swing in Whitefish! Journalists reporting on golf are invited to discover the first 36-hole golf complex in Montana. The rich history of the course will serve as a perfect backdrop to your tale, and you'll be hungry for dinner after a round of play. The courses appear to have wintered exceptionally well this year, with milder weather in the valley.

Whitefish Lake Golf Course features all the amenities of a world class resort course. Both the North and South Courses play along tree lined fairways, feature bentgrass greens, beautiful bunkers and exceptional views of Whitefish Lake in the North Course and Lost Coon Lake on the South.

Whitefish Lake Golf Club is the most requested golf destination in Montana and both course have been consistently rated in the top five by Golf Digest and one of the top 50 Golf Destinations in the world. A great temperate climate allows you to play all day long with daylight extending up to 16 hours during the peak summer season.

Right next to the first tee box, Whitefish Lake Restaurant features fine dining in an historic Montana setting. Built in 1936, the clubhouse features a restaurant that many consider the best in the Flathead, known for Prime rib, baked Alaskan halibut, lobster, Alaskan king crab, Iowa rack of lamb, center cut beef tenderloin, roast duck, and world class martinis. Lunch is served during the summer and a casual evening menu is also offered on the patio overlooking the golf course.
